Santa Barbara is on fire… Again.. Here are some photos from the past few days:

My beautiful wife and I went up to San Francisco for Thanksgiving this year to visit with her sister, who lives up there, and her parents who met us up there. The drive was tedious but the food and company were well worth it.. Not to mention black friday in downtown San Francisco can be a blast

On the trip I managed to snag a few moments to take some shots of the Golden Gate on an early Thanksgiving morning walk across the bridge. I never made it quite all the way across, because I got too caught up taking photos! But I had a blast!

I just finished touching up all of the photos from a shoot of some surfboards that I did over the weekend with the help of Tom over at Venture Media Group. Tom’s got an awesome studio that we were able to use. This was my first shoot in a studio so I was pretty amped to learn some new things, many thanks to Tom for holding my hand through the process!

I can’t really show you all the photos, but I’m pretty stoked on them so here’s a sneak peak

My beautiful wife Ander needed a headshot for an article she wrote that’s being published, so we pulled out the lights and had some fun!

All in all, the image turned out OK, I’m actually not that happy with it, but we didn’t have much time (she needed it in a day’s notice) so I had to just settle for what turned out:

My buddy Tim was also over, I snapped one of him while he was on the phone with his wife:

We had fun, but ultimately I’d like to try again with more than a moments notice!

This was a fun shoot up in the hills of Santa Barbara. There was a really cool wall that I wanted to shoot, but I needed direct sunlight for the exposure so I had to work with what we had!

I was just out in Chicago last week for some meetings, but had a chance to hit up the city one night for some late night shooting! Here’s my favorite from the trip!

The Position Tech west coast team went on a harbor cruise for our summer outing. We had a blast!

Here’s a little shoot from the exciting sport of girl jumping. If you’ve never heard of girl jumping, as most people haven’t, it’s pretty self explanatory. There are only 2 rules in this fantastic sport:

1. The girl(s) that you jump have to be complete strangers to all parties involved. (Jumper, Photographer, or bystanders in the involved party)
2. The girl(s) can not have any prior warning before being jumped. This includes loud noises and/or laughing prior to the jump.
It is also best if, after the jump takes place, you continue walking on down the beach. Do not look back, kinda like in rock climbing, you never look down. The same principle applies in girl jumping.
